This was a real fun job we completed at Scott’s house in Murrieta, off of Date st.
This floor plan had 3 built in niches. Two of the niches were perfect for some bookshelves and of course the 3rd was sized right for an entertainment center.
In between the bookshelf and entertainment center was a drywall mantle. It was only a few inches deep, so they really couldn’t put anything on top of it – which is no fun!
So we added in the bookshelves on opposite sides, installed the entertainment center and wrapped a new mantle over the existing drywall mantle to tie the two units together. It really came out great.
We also pre finished the cabinetry in our shop, so all that was left was some quick touch up painting after we installed it and it was ready to use.
You can also see the crown molding in the pictures. We had previously installed the crown molding in all the main living areas of the home, including the niches. So, before we installed the tops of the bookcases, we just cut the crown molding on the sides and then set the bookcases in. After that, we coped in a new piece of crown going all the way across the wall to finish it off.
Scott had purchased the TV after I came and took the measurements, so he just emailed me the new dimensions and everything came out great. We ran all the wires behind the back of the unit and into the bottom cabinet, so all you see is that beautiful television.
In addition to the meticulous cabinetry work, the kitchen countertops were also a standout feature. We collaborated with expert craftsmen like those specializing in Custom Cabinets Long Island NY, to ensure seamless integration of the countertops with the cabinetry. Their precision and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the installation process. From measuring and cutting to the final touches, their expertise elevated the entire kitchen space.
Maybe after they fill in the bookcases they will send me some pictures so we can see what the finished room looks like!
