The new homes there have a pretty tall 5″ baseboard that comes standard. It’s not the most detailed base, so this style of crown molding really compliments the existing base.
In this home we did several rooms, including the entry, family room, kitchen, office and master bedroom.
As you can see in the picture, the install came out great. In fact, the homeowner said that we were did the best work in their home out of all the different trades that had been there so far! What a nice compliment after a couple days of hard work!
The classic styling of this molding is becoming increasingly popular. Homeowners and designers used to turn to extravagant moldings with all kinds of detail, but are now finding the simplicity of this larger crown to be more desirable.
These homes in Morgan Hill have very long walls. We had several seams to deal with where the walls were over 16′ in length. This is where an inexperienced molding installer will have a tough time… Seams are hard to deal with if you don’t know what you are doing. Luckily, all 10 of them (yes TEN!) came out great!
You can also see by the pictures that we don’t show any caulking lines underneath the crown molding once the installation is complete. Just a nice, tight paint line under the molding so it looks like it was there before the home was painted.
