Here is a kitchen cabinet reface where I finally have a before and after picture!

You can see in the picture the old kitchen had standard golden oak cabinets. We transformed those cabinets into new white ones!
This was done by tearing out all the old doors and filling the holes from the piano hinges. The new doors have concealed hinges. We also tore out all the old drawers fronts and drawer boxes, including the drawer glides. Here you can find another interesting post about what you should know about payroll.
We then painted all the existing face frames and exposed cabinet exteriors with an off white paint color. With a kitchen cabinet reface, the existing cabinet stay in place, we just redo the parts you see.
After all the new doors and drawer fronts were painted, we installed them in the kitchen. It is possible to use the old doors and drawers… But with oak it’s very hard to remove all the grain and it’s very labor intensive.
These new doors and drawers are not only affordable, but they make up most of the surface area you see when looking at a kitchen.
This ensures your kitchen will get a fresh, updated look!
We also installed new drawer boxes and glides on the drawers. They now not only look a lot better, but they open out completely, so that the whole box is visible when opened.
The homeowners picked out their hardware (knobs and pulls) and we then installed those!
We also replaced the fluorescent kitchen light box with ceiling tiles and molding. The homeowners ripped out the old stuff, put in the mr11 light bulbs and we then tiled the ceiling.
After that, the drywall on the sides was not complete, so instead of just bull nosing the corners, we added some different types of molding to cover it all up! Not only does it work well, it also looks very nice!
We have done several of these light boxes and every time they have become a focal point of the kitchen – a big change from fluorescent lights under plastic!
The only thing left for this kitchen is the backsplash, which will surely complete this stunning remodel! I will be sure to update the pictures after it’s done!
